NER was chosen as General Contractor to perform the Plaza removal and replacement for the John F. Kennedy Federal Building right in the heart of Downtown Boston. This project consisted of removal and replacement of approximately 52,000SF of concrete and granite paving, waterproofing, snow melt system and roof drains.
This project was broken into a three phase process consisting of the East Plaza abutting City Hall, the Center Plaza facing Cambridge St. and the West Plaza across from the Boston Police. Using phases, NER was able to keep restricted access to a minimum.
