On Sunday, October 20th more than 2,100 people gathered at Carson Beach in Dorchester to participate in the Boston Brain Tumor Walk. The weather was perfect and the walk along the waterfront provided a beautiful backdrop for the event. The National Brain Tumor Society had set a fundraising goal of $450,000. That goal was met and exceeded with the current fundraising total reaching $601,909.83. With the support of so many of you, NER’s team donated $7,221.00 to the NBTS!
The NER team had 19 walkers and received 84 donations from friends, family, coworkers, clients, and vendors. We are so grateful to everyone who donated and/or walked with us. The money raised will enable the NBTS to continue their groundbreaking work across research, advocacy and community-building that empowers brain tumor patients and enables much needed scientific discoveries.
NER is committed to continuing to support this important cause. Over the next year we will be planning for next year’s walk and running some fundraising raffles and events. We hope you will all participate and join the NER Team for the 2020 Boston Brain Tumor Walk!
*The NBTS fundraising site will remain open until October 31 so there is still time to make a donation. Just go to the link below to be taken to NER’s team fundraising site.
